This segment is all about babies!!!!

I finally downloaded a bunch of pictures off my camera and guess what I found!!! Pictures of baby Adelaide! I believe I mentioned her in an earlier post. She is Adam's niece and my soon to be niece! She is just adorable and I am sad that it took me so long to get these picture on my computer! But anyway...this is a picture of Adam holding her for the first time!! He was so excited! :)
So after a while he finally gave her up and let me hold her! :) Can I just tell you that I can't wait to be an aunt!!Yay! Pictures of Miss Adelaide!! Now back to present day...

Today, I went to the zoo with Adam, his sister and brother in law and Madeleine. We weren't there for very long because it was blazing hot outside but we still had a pretty good time. We spent most of the time looking a monkeys and riding the carousel! Madeleine cracks me up though! She has quite a personality on her! And she was so excited to see me today. It made my day!

But as we were going along we found out that a lot of the animals had recently had babies!!! The tigers had three boys! But we couldn't really see them. Apparently tigers sleep 18 hours in a day. Lucky. Also, the snow leopards had a baby! We could see him! He was sleeping next to his mama.

So cute!!! :)

While we were learning about the new additions to the cat families we heard that the giraffes had a new baby as well! We then headed over that way! I think giraffes are so fascinating! And every time we see them I always have to make a reference to Melman from Madagascar. Haha.

Also, the elephants had a baby as well! But she is now out yet! We will have to wait til a later date for that!!

Wedding, Wedding, Wedding, Baptism, Wedding!!!!!! Now back to school!!

ENGAGEMENT PICTURES!!!! FINALLY!!!!!

We got our engagement pictures done!!!! Hooray!! My best friend, Tanya did a wonderful job doing them!! She took 900 pictures!!! 900!!! No joke!!! It was so much fun! We just couldn't help ourselves!! We started out with the purple outfits first. Tanya took us to her husband's grandparent's farm. We took the most pictures there! We just kept finding new places to take pictures! It was wonderful.

Then, we went to the Union Station, that is in downtown Ogden. And there is a train that has the red looking fan thing. We took some there but the light wasn't great! Tanya had the great idea to use the white picture frame!

After that we went to a duck pond that was very popular when I was in high school. We decided to wear the green outfits for that. We had fun playing in the water and playing on the little playground. :)

Now we have to do our invitations! Yay! We have a good idea of what it is going to look like but we just have to pick out a couple of our favorites to use for it. Send me your address if you read this and want an invite! :)

Anyway...a week ago I was baptized into the LDS faith. Yes! It happened. I am more shocked than anyone else, I am sure. But it was the right thing to do for myself and I have never been happier. It was such a wonderful experience. I can't even describe it but it feels good. I know a lot of people have been critical of my decision and think I am doing it for all the wrong reasons. But let me just say that I was missing something in my life and now I have found it. I have spent too much time worrying about everyone else and didn't spend enough time worrying about me. I have found a path that I feel good about going down. It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make in my life. But I am happy that I did it! :)

Also, school starts tomorrow!! Woohoo. This summer went by pretty fast!! It might be because it rained most of June and didn't get warm until July. But it will be nice to have something else to keep me occupied. Haha. Hopefully I will be able to get wedding stuff done too. I think I got most of it done like I wanted to but there are a lot of small things to do!

I will try and update again soon. :)

Life the past month...

So the past month has been quite busy! Adam was in the hospital for the end of July. He was in for 2 weeks! I spent most of my time here with him and kept him company! It was fun minus the days I had to work. I would have rather been hanging out with him than working but I did come have lunch with him and popped in to say hello every so often. Oh and he gained 5 pounds! I am very proud of that fact! Let's hope he can keep it on and gain more! :)

After he got out of the hospital, I let him rest for a day and then it was time to continue with wedding plans. I am a mean fiance. Haha. We picked out a cake!! Yay! It is way cute and it is going to taste way good! I hope we'll get to eat some! Then we decided to do our registering as well. We were at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for 3 to 4 hours!!! It was insanity and we aren't even done yet!!! And then, his mother and I went to Modern Display to find flowers and such for the bouquets!! Oh and the greatest thing is that I found bridesmaid dresses!! FINALLY!!!! I was having such a hard time deciding but one of my bridesmaids went with me and we found a perfect one!! Now we need to do engagement pictures which should hopefully happen next week. :)

Anyway...this past Sunday was Adelaide's baby blessing. Adelaide is Adam's neice that was born in June! His brother and sister in law live up in Eagle Mountain so we drove up with Adam's sister, brother in law, and Adam's other neice. It was amazing and such a wonderful blessing! I am so glad I was able to be there! :)

Needless to say, it's been a busy month or so. But it has been fun! More wedding updates and pictures to come once I have some time off!

The 4th and other happenings

For the 4th of July, I went to Mona with Adam and his family. They have a big party every year to celebrate his grandpa's birthday, which is on the 4th. He has since passed but they still have the celebration. It was pretty neat. I certainly enjoyed getting away from the city and getting to know his family a little more. :) Then we came back to SLC and hung around for a little bit before we went up to Huntsman and sat on the lawn to watch fireworks all over the valley. It was pretty awesome. Also, the 5th was Skyler's birthday. I work with him at the hospital and he had to work on his birthday so we went up and said "happy birthday" and then had some cake. So yummy!!! :)

There is a lot that is going to be happening in the next little while and we've been pretty busy. Tomorrow we are finally going to meet Adam's and soon to be my niece, Adelaide. We are very excited because we haven't seen her since she was born on June 19th. They were afraid that she might have cystic fibrosis which is what Adam has. But the tests came back and she doesn't have it!!! Yay!! I am so excited!!

This coming Monday, my mom. Adam, and I are going to the place we have chosen to get married at so we can pick the cake and figure out the itnerary of the big day. That should be fun.

Then, on the 18th of July I am planning on being baptized into the LDS faith. Oh my gosh. I can't believe it is already here. This is so crazy to me. I never thought that after all these years of living in Utah that I would be converting. But here I am about to take the plunge. I am very excited and very nervous all at the same time. Time has yet to be determined but I will find out sometime soon since it is next week. If you'd like to know the whole story of why I'm converting feel free to ask. I am just too tired to write it out now. :)

Other than that all I've been doing is working, hanging out with Adam and planning the wedding. This next week I have the whole week off from work. I am looking forward to that but it will be busy with friends and wedding stuff. Woot! Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th and have a great weekend!

I have a pretty little ring on my left hand!! :)

Adam proposed!!!! Yay!!! I can't believe it! It was such a surprise!!! I have the condensed version on Facebook and a bunch of pictures on there but if you don't have Facebook I'll put some pictures up on here as well! Ü Here's the whole story...

On Friday, June 26th, our day started out with going to meet with a photographer, to see if she would take pictures at the wedding. (If you didn't know, we knew we were getting married he just hadn't proposed yet. Haha.)

Anyway...after that we went to Antelope Island to have some fun in the sun and to see if we could find the geocache that we couldn't find last time we were there in March. Geocaching involves finding coordinates that the website gives you and it should lead you to a geocache box. We have never been very successful in our geocaching adventures.

Well before that we decided to have some lunch up at their little grill and we had buffalo burgers. They were so delicious!! We learned that they get their buffalo from Wyoming and not off the island and they don't use buffalo cheese! ;)

Then we went to t
he beach and walked all the way out to the lake. I was very surprised that the lake was so low. It was kind of a long trip but we did it! Ü It was fun minus all the brine flies and shrimp. Yuck!

These writings were done on the way out to the lake.

This one is Adam's.

This is mine!

After our little hike we decided to go back to where the supposed geocache was used to be. It is just this giant rock formation that has a bunch of little cave like things. Adam is a much better climber than I am so he said he was going to go over to another area while I went another way. After a while, Adam met up with me and we started walking toward where he had been and he was looking through a hole in the rock and said "I think this goes all the way through. Let's go check out the other side." So we did and when he got over there he had found something which happened to be a geocaching box. I was so excited because we had actually found one!!!!

He handed it to me and said "wait let's take pictures of it before you open it." After that, I opened it and there was a keychain exactly like one I had bought him in San Francisco. I thought it was just a wacky coincidence. Haha. The next thing I grabbed out was a speaker that you put in to a handheld CD player so it plays out loud. I didn't know what it was at the time so I was a little confused and then I pulled out the CD player. Adam explained about the speaker but apparently it didn't work. When I picked up the CD player there was a picture of us! It was then that I started to catch on to what was going on. Apparently the ring box that was in there wasn't enough. I asked him when he did this and he said just now. He had been carrying it around in his Camelback BAG. Ü

He told me to open the ring box and so I did. In the box was a piece of paper that said TURN AROUND.
And when I did he was down on one knee and holding the ring and asked me if I would marry him!! Ü I screamed and then started crying and said YES! I was so excited! I couldn't stop screaming and jumping up and down. It was wonderful! I loved it so much!! He did it perfectly!! I would have never guessed that he was going to do it then!!!

This is the ring! It is beautiful and I love it! I can't stop staring at it all the time!! He did a really good job! It is exactly what I wanted! Ü
AHHHH!!!! WE ARE ENGAGED!!!! WOOO!!!!

Busy, busy world!

These past couple weeks have been nothing but crazy!! I can't even beginning to name all the stuff that has been happening! There has been hanging out with Adam, broken computer, babies being born, family stuff, conversion happenings, deaths, work, and wedding plans!!! Holy cow! I don't even know if I have enough room for all of my stories for the past month or so!!

Most of all I just want to say RIP Ben. You were a great guy and always kept us on our toes! I sure can't wait to see you again!! :) You will be missed here on earth though! You always brought light into my day and could always make me smile!

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer now that it is starting to get warmer outside and not raining everyday!!! Sigh! I hope to enjoy some sunshine soon! Adam and I are meeting with a photographer tomorrow and going to Antelope Island to hang out for a little bit! Ü

I will get some pictures up soon once I get my computer back (it's been in the shop for two weeks!). Have a great weekend!!

Nothing like summertime!

Can I just say how much I love the summer!?!?! Well if your answer was no, I'm sorry, but I love the summer!! It is nice to not have classes for a couple months! I am still waiting on some of my grades but the ones I have gotten are great! I am very pleased with them!

Anyway...so far this summer I have been working a couple days a week as usual! Our floor has been super slow! It is not normal for us! We usually are slow for a day or two and then fill the rooms right back out. So I got called off today! It was pretty nice!

I've also been spending a lot of time with Tanya. It has be great! :) She took me for a visit to the Salt Lake Temple. I have only been once for Christmas lights but never really explored too much or had a reason to visit. But as of lately, I have been doing some learning and research on the LDS religion. More to come on that later. :) I am glad that Tanya has been such a great friend and has been very helpful on my journey. In June, we are planning on visiting the Oquirrh Mountain Temple! I can't wait.

This is us and Ella at the temple! Ella is the little girl that Tanya nannies. She is such a cutie and we had a blast!

Also, Adam and I got
back together! :) Kind of a crazy story but it's great and we work so well together. He is wonderful and I am so glad to have him in my life. He has been a big inspiration to me! I have been spending a lot of time with him at the hospital, which is pretty fun! Now he just needs to get better and break out of there! :)

This past weekend was pretty fun as well. On Saturday, I walked in the Cystic Fibrosis walk. If you don't know what cystic fibrosis is, you should check out this website...
http://www.cff.org/
This is what I work with at the hospital. The walk was held at Wheeler Farm in Salt Lake. I had never been there before and I have to say that it is a fun place. It was also a very beautiful day! I was so happy with the turn out of people and the people who I work with that came to support CF. It was awesome! :)

After the walk, I went to see Adam and hung out with him for a bit. Then, I went to Adam's sister in law's baby shower! That was a lot of fun! His mom did a great job putting it together! So many fun games and food!

Then, I met up with Kristina, she is another good friend of mine and we had dinner to catch up some! Overall, it was an great and fulfilling day!

Well I think that is it for now! Have a great week everyone!
