6 months!

Our little dude turned 6 months at the end of May! I can't believe how time has flown! For a while it felt like we'd always be stuck in the newborn stage but now Atticus is moving like crazy and developing such a fun personality! Here are some stats!

Weight: 15 lbs 13 oz

Length: 26 in.

Teeth: He has two teeth on the bottom.

Food: He has been eating solids for 2 months and so far he has had carrots, sweet potatoes, peas prunes, apples, squash, pears, bananas, avocados, and apple puffs. He seems to like most anything we give him!

Sleep: We usually get him ready for bed around 7 or 7:30. We just transitioned him from our room in to his crib in his room and he does pretty well. He's been waking up around 5:30 most mornings to eat and will go back to sleep.

Play: He likes anything but the toys we have bought him. His current favorites are TV remotes, phones, the iPad or anything that we have in our hands. He does have a few toys that he will play with such as a fire truck and police car rattle and a teething ring.

Friends: Atticus makes friends anywhere he goes! He loves to look at people and smile. It is pretty cute. We usually hang out with Paisley, who is our neighbors baby. She is 9 months old! We also hang out with Taizlee, who is my twins baby and she is 2 years old! He finally has a male friend named Sam. Hopefully, we see them a little more often.

Family: Atticus spends a lot of time with his family! He spends Tuesday's and Wednesday's with my mom's and then Thursday's and Friday's, he spends with Adam's parents! They all just adore him and seem to love spending time with him! Also, Atticus got to meet his great aunt and uncle on my side. They came for a visit and took lots of pictures.  This month we are heading to South Dakota so Atticus can meet his great grandparents on my side. This is their first great grandchild and they are so excited to meet him! We can't wait to see them with him!

Likes: Rolling around on the floor. (I think he is getting close to rolling.)
Taking walks in his stroller with his grandma or grandpa.
           Having people help him stand.
           Funny noises.
           Playing peek a boo.
Watching educational cartoons with his grandmas.
His binkie. (He can pick it up and put it in his mouth.)
Eating. (I am sure that will never change.)
           Playing with mommy or daddy.
Sitting up. (He can sit for a few minutes before he topples over.)
           Mimicking others especially his daddy,
Hanging out with his daddy while he is doing his treatment.
           Reading.
Putting anything he can find in his mouth.
When we sing him certain songs that grandma sings to him.
Playing with things that hang off things.
           His grandpa's beard.
           Holding his hands together.
           Picking things up.
Dropping things on the floor or table.
           Looking around.
           Grabbing mommies hair.
           Babbling.

Dislikes: Getting in his car seat.
               Not being fed.
               Pooping.
               Too much noise.
               Rolling into inanimate objects.
               When we leave the room.
Not being the center of attention.
When he is tired and isn't asleep. (He fights it a lot of the time.)

Cuteness overload!

So I have had this app on my phone for a while and it is called Pic Stitch. I don't use it very often but I decided I am going to start using it! There are so many pictures that I take of Ace and I want to post them all! I have to stop myself though because I don't want to be that person that posts like a zillion pictures of my baby everyday!

Anyway...here is the outcome of using it!

Ahh!! I can't get over how cute he is! He makes so many cute faces! In the picture with the toy, that is the first time he has actually held it and interacted with it. I love this app! Expect more pictures like this in the future! =)

2 months old!

Our little guy turned 2 months on Wednesday! I can't believe how time has flown. It feels like it has been an eternity since I was pregnant. Life has changed so much since he has joined our family. What everyone tells you about life changing and it will never be the same is all true! We have been so blessed to have this sweet little spirit in our lives and some times have to remind each other that we have a baby. It took so long to get to this point that some times it doesn't feel real.

We had a doctors appointment on Friday and my little baby weighs 13 lbs 2 oz!!!! He is a big guy and not my little baby anymore! Adam and I were way off with our guesses. We were thinking 11 or 12 lbs.

He is starting to be awake and wanting to play during the day and he sleeps a little more during the night. I am not sure if my schedule is off now but I have a hard time sleeping at night when he sleeps. He has started to smile and I absolutely love his smile! He also likes to tell stories and oohs and ahhs quite a bit.

Atticus' likes:
-hanging out with family and friends
-smiling
-eating
-playing with anything that rattles
-dancing
-sleeping in his cosleeper or with mommy and daddy
-sitting in his boppy
-his swing
-telling stories
-looking at lights

Atticus' dislikes:
-still not a fan of getting his butt changed but tolerates it a little better
-being hungry
-baths
-getting his nose cleaned out
-getting his finger nails clipped (I am not very good at it yet)

Anyway, here are some pictures of the last month.
