Happenings

What a week!

We got a phone call from the reproductive clinic and she mentioned that we had received the Miracle Fund grant! We hadn't actually heard from the people who are in charge of it so I was a little confused! We actually did get the official letter saying we did receive it! =) We are so excited! Hurry up September!

Adam came into the hospital on Wednesday. He had an appointment which was lucky because he wasn't feeling well.

One of the patients I used to take care of, passed away.

I finally got my diploma and am waiting for my license! I think that will come this next week!

Last night, I went out with some friends and we had a total blast.

Weekend fun

Adam and I had a pretty good weekend. We hung out with the Ludwig's on Friday. Mary and one of their neighbors made us homemade pizza that was delicious. Then we played a game and just chatted. We got to meet their new little one, Quinn. He is adorable and looks almost exactly like their little girl.
Saturday, Adam worked and then we went to the Utah Arts Festival! This was the first year I had ever been. We walked around and looked at a lot of art work. Then, we saw a ward member that does pottery and we bought a few things. It was really cool to see how creative people are.
Here are some pictures:

Afterward, we went to Ogden and saw our friends, Tanya and Jace! We went to the drive-in and watched Cars 2 and Kung Fu Panda 2! It was a ton of fun! Here are some pictures from that:

It was a good weekend! I just love weekends!
Also, another exciting thing is, we have tomatoes!! Adam got some stuff from a friend of his and so they planted them by the house and we also have cucumbers, pumpkins, and strawberries. But right now only the tomatoes are coming in and possibly the cucumbers. I have pictures of them too!

Hope everyone has a good week! I should be going in to do my labs and sonohystergram this week sometime. =) Hopefully everything turns out ok.

Easter!!

Easter comments
Happy Easter yesterday!! I hope everyone
had a wonderful day!
The whole entire Easter weekend was
amazing for me! Here is a little run down.

Friday involved this:

Breakfast with Emily, Amy, and Dominic. It was part of Emipalooza (this is a series of things Emily does for her birthday so if you can't make it to one then it is likely you can make it to something). We went to the Park Cafe and it was delicious!

Then I hung out with my P.I.C. That was fun as usual! =)

Saturday looked like this:

This is what happens when your parents tell a story of how this happened to another child a few nights before and with the exact color of dye! It was funny!

We colored Easter eggs with our neighbors! It was a lot of fun! They were really creative with their eggs. After that we hid eggs in the backyard for the kids to find and then had an egg roll! That was definitely a good day!
Later that night, Adam and I went to Clinton and saw our cousin's Cari and Paul. Cari was having a graduation party! There was good food, good people, and good games! We had a blast. We even made some new friends! Other cousins were there as well!

Sunday was Easter! It went like this:

Church

Nap

Adam's parents house for dinner

then,

Geocacheing!
We went with Adam's brother, Curtis. It was awesome and a little chilly! We did find both of the geocaches we were looking for!

Then, we went back to the house and Adam was teaching me how to play the piano. I've always wanted to learn and it is pretty fun so far. I hope to learn more. =)

Spring?!?!

Today was amazing! I haven't had this great of a day in a long time!!

My day started off with going to my in-laws house. We worked on getting some more stuff on our Etsy shop and hopefully getting it up and running! Hopefully that will happen soon! So keep tuned in for that!

Then I went shopping with Kristina. We went to Ross, then the Gateway. It was a lot of fun! I got some good stuff! I need to do some spring cleaning of my closet and get rid of some stuff. It is now Adam's job to make sure I complete this task! Haha.

Finally, we hung out with Brad and Leah! We went to this restaurant on State Street. It is called Rice. It was dang delicious I must say! Then we came back to our house and played some games! It has been so long since we've hung out with them and it was a blast! I am glad that we were able to get together!

PLUS, it was also a beautiful day outside! I hope this means that spring is coming but I have been fooled before!! But I really would like the warm weather to stick around! =)

I do want to give a shout out to my sister-in-law, Catherine and my friend, Hallie. Happy birthday to you both! I hope you had a wonderful day!

Day 28

A picture of something you're afraid of

This is the same thing as something I hate. I am not posting a picture of what I am afraid of. I don't like clowns and they scare the crap out of me. I don't want to to look at one on my blog!! Haha!

But on another note, this weekend has been amazing! I got to see some friends I haven't seen in a long time!! It was awesome!
Friday, we went to Boondocks! I'd never been and it was a blast!

Me and my cute hubby!

This is Nikki, me and Ashley!
They are good friends that I've known since high school. It was so good to see them. Our men came too! We played laser tag, arcade games, and bowled. It was awesome! =) I hope we can do stuff more often!

Then today, I did some errands with my friend Emily and then we went to dinner with some of my other friends. It was a good time! (Pictures of that will come soon!)

Purple Cystic Fibrosis Shop!

So we decided to go through with it and try and create a Cystic Fibrosis Etsy shop! I am pretty excited about it. We went shopping on Friday to get supplies to start making things! I started on a purple scarf already and am trying to come up with some good ideas! Thanks to everyone that has given me input so far! We are also trying to come up with a good name for our shop so we can get it off the ground. =) This is going to be awesome!

This last week was kind of stressful and tiring. Adam had a doctor's appt. on Wednesday. He hasn't been feeling well so we decided to head to the doctor's just to make sure he is ok. His PFT's were pretty good being 2 months out of the hospital. They gave us some suggestions and sent us on our way. It was such a relief that he didn't have to go back into the hospital. Later that day, we went to an andrology lab to do some testing. We will find out the results next week and then figure out what to do next. I think I also caught what Adam had! So we've both been kind of under the weather. It's no fun!

This week I also went to Aerial dance on Tuesday and Zumba with my sister-in-law on Thursday! I loved it but it just made me tired. We also went to the Jordan River temple yesterday! (2 down, 11 to go!)

I hope everyone had a great weekend and hope you have a great week! =)

Weekend wonderment!

This weekend was full of fun activities!
Friday: I went to Ogden to have lunch with Tanya and Tiffany. We went to Olive Garden which is our usual place. Then we did some shopping! I really enjoyed getting to spend an afternoon with them! I hope we can do it more often! After that I spent some time at my parents house. That was also something I enjoyed doing since I don't see them as often either. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures! =(
Adam spent some time with his friend, Dana.
We both went to my friend Kaitlin and Megan's place and hung out there for a while. We played Wii and all that good stuff!

Saturday: Adam went to work for the morning and I went to watch a couple baseball games at the Miracle League in West Jordan. It was a pretty neat experience! Then, we went to the Utes tailgate party and saw Andrew there! Andrew recently moved to Denver with his girlfriend, Erin. And they were my former roommates before Adam and I got married! I sure miss them! We took Kris to the game with us again! We had a blast and the Utes won 56-3! They are 4-0!! Woot woot! What a great season so far! I am so glad to be a part of the MUSS for their farewell tour!

It was a really good weekend and looking forward to this weekend! It is Adam's 26th birthday on Friday! =)

Saturday's are blissful!

The Utes won again! Woot woot! This time we played UNLV and the score was 38-10! It was an incredible game but I am almost as red as our crimson red! Adam got a little color too! It was just so dang hot today! We had a good time though! It was also a nice way to remember 9-11.

Then after the game, we were going to go the state fair but parking was just atrocious! So we went to the Greek Festival instead! I ♥ the Greek Festival and their food! =) We got a lot of good stuff and brought home some baklava! Yay!

Also, yesterday Adam and I went to my friend Kaitlin's house! Saw some old friends and made some new ones! It was great fun after the horribly sad day I had at work! =)

Thanks everyone for a great weekend! Hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend!

Funeral, wedding, reunion, bbq, school, and a decision

Adam and I had quite the weekend. Friday, we went to a funeral of someone I took care of in the hospital that had CF. It was really rough for all of us that attended and then of course what funeral isn't. Adam didn't know the person but it definitely affected him and I didn't even think twice of how hard it was going to be for him. I felt pretty bad for having him come along. It was an eye opening experience for the both of us and kind of scary.

After the funeral, we went to a wedding reception of some people I went to school with. It was in Roy at Tuscany Gardens. It was a very beautiful reception and I am so happy for them to start this new chapter of their lives! Congrats Nick and Amber! Then it was on to our wards elders quorum bbq. I only stayed for a cheeseburger because some people I used to work with that no longer work at the hospital or no longer work on our floor had a get together. It was a blast and there was a lot of good food! I definitely enjoyed catching up with people.

That day was quite a roller coaster of emotions.

School started today!
And I was not ready for it to start. This summer went by way too fast. But after going to my first class this morning I felt pretty good about it! I felt like I was connecting more with my classmates and with my teacher! I think it will be a good semester.  I am one step closer to having the most wonderful and rewarding career! I can't wait! And hopefully I will be done by the summer! That is my ultimate goal!

And for some good news! Yay!
Adam and I had a long discussion about the temple we are going to get sealed in! And we finally picked one! Take a guess and I'll let you know if you are right! =)
