Funeral, wedding, reunion, bbq, school, and a decision

Adam and I had quite the weekend. Friday, we went to a funeral of someone I took care of in the hospital that had CF. It was really rough for all of us that attended and then of course what funeral isn't. Adam didn't know the person but it definitely affected him and I didn't even think twice of how hard it was going to be for him. I felt pretty bad for having him come along. It was an eye opening experience for the both of us and kind of scary.

After the funeral, we went to a wedding reception of some people I went to school with. It was in Roy at Tuscany Gardens. It was a very beautiful reception and I am so happy for them to start this new chapter of their lives! Congrats Nick and Amber! Then it was on to our wards elders quorum bbq. I only stayed for a cheeseburger because some people I used to work with that no longer work at the hospital or no longer work on our floor had a get together. It was a blast and there was a lot of good food! I definitely enjoyed catching up with people.

That day was quite a roller coaster of emotions.

School started today!
And I was not ready for it to start. This summer went by way too fast. But after going to my first class this morning I felt pretty good about it! I felt like I was connecting more with my classmates and with my teacher! I think it will be a good semester.  I am one step closer to having the most wonderful and rewarding career! I can't wait! And hopefully I will be done by the summer! That is my ultimate goal!

And for some good news! Yay!
Adam and I had a long discussion about the temple we are going to get sealed in! And we finally picked one! Take a guess and I'll let you know if you are right! =)

End of summer. Boo!

This past month has been jam packed with fun stuff! At the end of July, I had the privilege of seeing one of the missionaries that I connected with very well in my journey to becoming LDS. I was so excited when my best friend Tanya told me that she had run into him and we should get together with him before he goes home! Luckily we found a day to hang out catch up! It was so nice to see him and remember all the awesomeness of our talks. He did a really nice thing for me at my baptism where he gave everyone a piece of paper to write something down about my baptism and I finally received those. I had to fight back the tears reading what people had written. It was so sweet.

I finally decided to sit down and finish putting our house together! We bought this nice shelving unit for our spare room and we were having a problem with one of the screws. When we finally figured it out, I decided to put stuff on it and now it looks more like a room! Yay! It is so nice to have our house look more and more like our home! I love it!

We have also had some birthday's this month! My godmother, Michelle's birthday was at the beginning of the month and we went golfing with her! She got to golf for free which was pretty cool! And Ashley's little boy, Aidan turned 4 in the beginning of the month as well! So we celebrated with them!

We spent a lot of time with my sister in law and niece while they were here. We also had a family picnic one Sunday which was a lot of fun and very delicious! I am so sad that they had to go home! We always have so much fun with them when they are here! Hopefully some day we will be able to go to Texas and visit them! Although, I am sure the heat might not go over well with Adam.

Then our good friends, the soon-to-be Fortuna's had a pool party! Brad and his friends and family through it at Brad's house! Adam, Kristina, and I went! It was a total blast! We got to laze in the pool all day and eat lots of fruit! But the neatest part was that they roasted pigs! Oh my gosh! It was the craziest thing I had ever seen but oh so delicious!

Adam has started his job. He is going around a neighborhood and surveying people and will soon be working down the street! School starts in less than a week and we both went a got our books! Wahoo! I can't believe how fast the summer has gone! But it has been a blast and I got most of my to do list done! There are somethings I didn't do but will hopefully get to do in the near future!

9 months! ♥

I have been married to the love of my life and my best friend for 9 months! I can't believe how time has flied. We have just been having so much fun and enjoying ourselves! It is amazing! Only 3 more months until we get sealed! I can't wait! Now we only have to pick a temple. Sigh.

Anyway..the past week and a half my sister in law and niece have been in town from Texas and we have been having a blast with them. We've gone to the zoo, Park City, had a craft day where I learned how to make yoyo's, hats, and sew buttons, we've played lots and lots of games and ate lots of food. I am so glad that we have been able to see them again! We are sad that Alex, my brother in law was not able to join them! Hopefully they will all be able to come back for our sealing.
