Vacation Part 1: South Dakota

This year, we decided to go to South Dakota for vacation to see my grandparents. I wanted my grandma and grandpa to see me while I was pregnant because this is their first great grandchild. The trip out to South Dakota was not easy for me. Adam had to drive most of the way, which is a 15 hour drive. I was so uncomfortable most of the time and when I was driving my back started to hurt so bad. I am so thankful that Adam was willing to drive.

We made a few stops in South Dakota. One, to see my cousin's ex wife, which we unfortunately didn't get a picture with and we also stopped at Wall Drug. We probably spent too much time in Wall Drug because we didn't get to Mitchell until 12 AM. It was my fault because I wanted to look in every store to find a onesie for Atticus but we didn't have a whole lot of luck.

During our stay in Mitchell, we played Scrabble and Dominos, had hot chocolate and yummy chocolate zucchini cake with people that live in my grandparents apartment complex, went to the Corn Palace, explored the town, saw my grandparents old house, heard stories of when my grandparents were younger and just enjoyed being lazy!

It was such a great trip and now we are enjoying visiting Nikki in Kansas. I will post pictures from this part of our vacation later.

Leaving Utah at 5 AM!

Beautiful sunrise! The pictures don't do it justice!

Adam wanted a picture of a lone tree. He thought it was cool.

A view of the Corn Palace from across the street! This year it had pictures of each holiday!

Walking down Main St.

Family feud for my grandparents buffet! I don't really want it. It was just a joke for my mom and aunt who have been doing this since I can remember!
