For the 4th of July, I went to Mona with Adam and his family. They have a big party every year to celebrate his grandpa's birthday, which is on the 4th. He has since passed but they still have the celebration. It was pretty neat. I certainly enjoyed getting away from the city and getting to know his family a little more. :) Then we came back to SLC and hung around for a little bit before we went up to Huntsman and sat on the lawn to watch fireworks all over the valley. It was pretty awesome. Also, the 5th was Skyler's birthday. I work with him at the hospital and he had to work on his birthday so we went up and said "happy birthday" and then had some cake. So yummy!!! :)
There is a lot that is going to be happening in the next little while and we've been pretty busy. Tomorrow we are finally going to meet Adam's and soon to be my niece, Adelaide. We are very excited because we haven't seen her since she was born on June 19th. They were afraid that she might have cystic fibrosis which is what Adam has. But the tests came back and she doesn't have it!!! Yay!! I am so excited!!
This coming Monday, my mom. Adam, and I are going to the place we have chosen to get married at so we can pick the cake and figure out the itnerary of the big day. That should be fun.
Then, on the 18th of July I am planning on being baptized into the LDS faith. Oh my gosh. I can't believe it is already here. This is so crazy to me. I never thought that after all these years of living in Utah that I would be converting. But here I am about to take the plunge. I am very excited and very nervous all at the same time. Time has yet to be determined but I will find out sometime soon since it is next week. If you'd like to know the whole story of why I'm converting feel free to ask. I am just too tired to write it out now. :)
Other than that all I've been doing is working, hanging out with Adam and planning the wedding. This next week I have the whole week off from work. I am looking forward to that but it will be busy with friends and wedding stuff. Woot! Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th and have a great weekend!
